Type of water to use
After long time I'm going back to watercooling...
Ok, so I want some water, as I hate using WW etc..... Although water wetter is 100% evil... I was going to say, I'm not paying for the price for fluidxp, it's just out of the roof for what it is, like 100% profit, paying for there brand name now days. SO I looked around and had a go to find what the "real" name for fluidxp is, and how I can get it alot alot cheap in the uk. After some google work, i found this statement "The term pH comes from Pourvoir Hydrogene, which is French for "power of hydrogen".". After looking more I found 3M™ Fluorinert™ Electronic Liquid FC-70 So, I find this stuff, I got to get some stuff in the UK, and cheap, hopefull around east anglia (where i live and very much doubt it as slater is around my area too) So, did I do my "research" right? IF so where can I look for this stuff. Is it really called pH? THanks alot - S |
Why not just use water? Flourinert is not as good as water, it's very expensive, and it's harmful to the environment.
|
and it's harmful to the environment
Aye, But erm.. Yes.. ok..:| " liquid is chemically stable." I still don't want to use water sorry -S |
Stick with the Zerex :)
Your best bet on getting Florenert is to find the local 3M dealer but i dont know who that is. Bet you Its not relly cheaper than Fluidxp tho.. slater.. |
aye slater,
I ordered stuff last night with Zerex. Criticool PowerPlant II Pump Relay Card 1 23.89 23.89 TDX AMD Lucite Top 1 39.67 39.67 NV 6800 GPU Block 1 70.49 70.49 Tank-O-Matic Black 2 45.99 91.98 Eheim 1250 Pump 1 47.99 47.99 Eheim 1250 1/2" Brass Adaptor Kit 1 4.99 4.99 UV Green Water Dye (10ml) 1 3.49 3.49 Zerex Super Coolant 50ml 1 - S |
Isn't fluidxp largely water anyway? Might as well just use water and zerex if you ask me.
|
Ye,
Doesnt matter now, I have an idea. Not going to be using any of that stuff. Just di-ironed water, use some green dye, in the green dye has a few chiemical's zerex does. Should be ok. - S |
So you dont want to use water cause it is bad, now you want to just use water?
Put some glycol in it, I have never had a problem. That green dye will not help anything. |
Dyes don't in general have corrision inhibitors, you'd be better off with zerex or some other engine coolant additive. Dyes are just for added "bling". :p
