Any comments on this setup?
 

Ok, so I've been reading through various forums on wc for a long time now and I think I've come across a good setup for my pc: a DFI Lanparty socket 754 and an ATI 9800.

I have decided to order most of my stuff from Dangerden as they will ship here (NZ) and ordering from one supplier keeps the shipping costs down to a minimum.
This is what I'm thinking of purchasing:

TDX cpu block with the extra nozzles
MAZE4GPU gpu block
Double heater core with fittings
DD12V-D4 pump

I plan on making this a 1/2" closed loop system with a T-line for filling.
It'd great if anyone had any comments/critiques on my decisions.
Also, the Maze4 gpu block comes in an acetel version. Is this worth getting over the stock one?

i think ull be happier with a swiftech 6002 and a mcw50. also, id use a res instead of a T for bleeding the system..

You could buy an alphacool kit from surgepc.co.nz, the nexxxos xp's damn good, could save you some difficulty, and save on shipping.

But then again I spent a fortune on two CSP750's from the USA, so maybe I'm just bitter? :(

Can't fault your setup, but reservoirs are very handy.

Filling without a reservoir is much slower, and without an airtrap (which a reservoir can do, too), you have to shake your system around. But, it will work just fine. I have a system using a TDX, DD GPU block, DD res, BIX2 and D4 pump. It is a fine system and keeps temps down very well but it is not silent.

NOTE: I am not saying other manufacturers aren't good, as I have other equipment by other manufacturers, and some home-made stuff too.

Get the Acetal version of the maze4, not having alu in your loop is a good step.

If you're a noise freak, you'll hate the D4. Personally I'd go for a mcw6002, DCC pump, the maze4 with acetal top, DD/Swiftech Poly res, and two nexus fans on a BIPII. (but then, im noise obsessed) - cant get much easier, safer (no chance of cracking or corrosion, basically) or quieter than that, with good performance. Wont be as pretty though :P

Alphacool stuff is fine, but ive not heard many good things about their pump, so i'd look for something a bit better there personally (see NexXxos xp pressure head) as its A - underpowered and B - apparently quite loud.

Personally, I wouldnt put an acrylic/polycarb/insert-clear-plastic-here topped block near my rig, for fear of cracking.

I've come to the conclusion that I'll be using a reservoir in my system for numerous reasons, namely for ease of maintenance.

I'm not after an ultra quiet system so I think choosing the D4 over the DCC is best as it has the greater flow rate and 1/2" fittings. I don't care about noise as long as it works well.

I was also a bit suspect of the plastic top on the TDX so the plan was to get the brass top option, and upon seeing the new brass maze4 gpu block I am tempted to go with that instead of the acetal.

If anyone else has any suggestions/comments, their advice is more than welcome.
