New German WB: LICS M-1
 

I got a promotional e-mail today from this company, but unfortunately not much info on the internal design:

From the linked review it outperforms the NexXxos XP which puts it in the "good performer range for sure. Looks like the universal adapter is a pretty good design too. They offered to send a block for me to review in the e-mail; I'll respond with my address and give you guys a more informed opinion if they send one.

without a nozzle design to get better flow rate of course. However it can beat NexXxoS XP in a K7 platform maybe it seems to disobey the rule that the heat generated by cpu wont spread laterally very far from the die.

They call them channels, so its possibly WW or RBX styled inside...

Well the world has now been turned upside-down. German waterblock makers now pushing "high flow". What will happen next?

I personally remain very skeptical that this design will outdo a NexXxoS XP in a properly set up testbed, but hey, stranger things have happened. Am very interested to see results.

Isn't it Delphi's patent (instead of Corsair's), I mean they were the ones manufacturing the blocks for Corsair, were they not?

That doesn't make them the patent holder - Corsair could have licenced them to use the patent (somewhat likely since they were making blocks for Corsair).

I keep forgetting that stev is Delphi and not Corsair, but and advocate of both

So is this company going to send a block for testing?

And if Corsair/Delphi had this patent all along why no action vs all then other designs with channels? Sounds weak, at best they can become the RAMBUS of waterblocks.

If they even file such a action I'll buy nothing from any company, like Corsair, that is involved with them.
