Testing modded DDC Pump with NexxxosXP Block

OK, this is not going to be up to Phaestus standard but thought people might be interested :)

Pump mod (courtesy of system cooling, with some changes). Nylon adaptor superglued (Loctite 406- good for polar plastics) in to pump inlet

Finished article with Innovatek Resevoir which has an o-ring sealed bore (21 mm ID) in to which the adaptor fits

Test loop - 1 metre 1/2" ID tygon and the Nexxos XP. Its a pretty restrictive block even just blowing through it!

Flow test by the bucket method gives 4.5-5 litres/min. BUT that is at 10 volts because of the voltage drop on the battery pack. So at 12 volts probably more like 5.5. Although Bill might comment on how the flowrate changes with voltage ;)

Hey surge!!

Just for comparison, I did the SAME test, but with 2 AQX 50Z's in series.

6 lpm (or 1.6 US GPM).

That modded DDC is nice!

Can you post back when you do a 12v test?

wait but you didn't test it without the mod?
