i keep bugging my boss to allow me to use more machines for folding but no go...
i have 2x733, 800, 866, 2.4Ghz folding at work...
4 P4 machines folding at home... with one temporarly down.
still looking for more...

jman1310 04-01-2005 04:58 PM

the question should be phrased both ways

many people already on the team aren't folding currently

i've gone from 0 to 25 mostly because many of these people are no longer folding

but yes, why is it that we can only field 43 folders?

scooterfl 04-01-2005 05:51 PM

yeah, we cant let Toms Hardware Guide Community catch up to us, they're only 42 days behind us

mjgent 04-02-2005 12:39 AM

I'll be able to add another 6 cpus next month after we open our satellite office.

I'm going to have to get another rig up and running with some old Socket A stuff. I think it's a distinct lack of forum members that holds us back.

We are going to have to double our output just to keep them off our back...
now they are only 25 days behind us...
but i don't think there is enough people caring to folding...
I guess the people at Toms Hardware are more pationate about computers then we are...

Nightfall 04-22-2005 03:45 AM

Word from my manager at work was that we were supposed to be getting some P4 3.0+ workstations to replace the PIII's we are working on right now. I'll ask for permission if it ever happens

The datacenter I am working in right now easily has 10,000GHz worth of CPU power.... to bad some of it belongs to ebay, the IRS, ect. Every windows box in here runs terminal services... i'll get the IP's for the l337 h@x0rz in here ;)

mjgent 04-25-2005 11:46 AM

Our sat. office has been put back another few weeks (carpet, paint, etc.). The P4s in there will fold for us, so I at least will have those coming on board.

pHaestus 04-25-2005 11:49 AM

I just never really stayed involved after the distributedfolding ended.

how many machines did you have folding in the distributedfolding?

pHaestus 04-25-2005 02:02 PM

Just my personal computers at home and at work. Maybe 8 boxes at most?

MadHacker 04-25-2005 04:38 PM

I have about 10 boxes folding right now...
4 are below 1ghz. But I guess every little bit helps...

If everybody that posted here had only a 333 celly folding for us.
It would make a big difference.
