Bay Res replacement plugs?

Hey guys, Im having a little problem. Basically one of the bay res plugs I had on my custom res tubes basically disintegrated when I tried to unscrew it with a screwdriver. The problem is that no one has replacements for these. So Im asking if anyone knows anyone who carries those 1/4 NPT plugs, or any equivalent to these, preferably ones that look good since they will be seen from the top of my case.

I thought about using Polarflo TT plugs but I cant find anywhere that notes what size they are, any help on that would be good too.

Is it a swiftech or dangerden style molded bayres, or one of the acrylic ones like cooltechnica sells/sold?

If it's the Swiftech/DD version those are 3/8"NPT male plugs; if it's the acrylic type I'm pretty sure those are 1/4" NPT. In either case you can get nice looking white nylon ones from US Plastic here

I wouldn't suggest using any kind of metal barbs then Breach

yeah am deffinatly going for the same type of plastic ones. I emailed Angeleye to see about getting more, i thought it was kind of odd that no one sells replacements for these fragile little plugs.

ah they are the clear ones right? I have one in my basement somewhere...

Are you talking about the plastic plug covering the fill hole of the res, or a single barb design 1/4"NPT threaded plug?

Threaded plug:

The fill plug is some weird thread right?

dacooltech 06-16-2005 04:19 PM

yea PG7
PG7 plug can be used on 1/4"NPT threaded hole though

Its the plugs that come with the 4 port version of these reservoirs to plug the unused holes.

Found something at http://www.intlcordsets.com/components/misc_parts.asp, i asked for some samples of these ones. I looked at the one I still have and it said PG 7 on it, so I did a search for ones that size. After a while I saw that PG-7 size will fit 1/4 NPT. McMaster-Carr also has something similar.
