What to use to remove paint from Black Ice Radiator?
ok, i did a little search and came up w/ MEK and Paint Stripper, but i was wondering if there's anything else before i try this. Basically , i have a Black BIP and i want to repaint it Blue to match my case. i want to strip all the paint off w/o having to sand it. i started doing that but that darn paint will take forever to get through it all. i've read that some people use AirCraft cleaner or something like that but that was for other metal parts like Cases and such, not for radiators. what's safe to use on my radiator? i want to clean it all off and start w/ a fresh coat of paint. thanks guys, you're always great help!

You might try taking it to an automotive radiator shop and see if they will let you dip it in their acid tank. If you try to ply them with a cool brewski - Who knows?

my black paint just flaked off my bix2 micro on delivery...
paint stripper? |
Acetone bath is the solution and works very well. Use a paintbrush to remove paint in a same time.

Hmmm, MEK :)

At least it's not powder coated.

Hot acid tank the bastard - I don't think even powdercoated stuff will survive.

Will the copper tubes & fins stand a chance? :D
