Any Hint on when the Black Ice X-Flow (Single Pass) rads are coming out?

i was just wondering if anyone had any "inside" info of when DangerDen is going to sell them or when HWLabs intends to release them. I noticed the ThermoChill PA160, finally on the DD website today and was just wondering about the new stage of Single Pass radiators hitting the market.

Always remember, single-pass isn't always best, especially for water-cooling loop scenarios.

Works okay/well for single-core (one row of tubes), but for dual-core (two rows of tubes) it may turn out worse as per-tube velocity drops too low.

As with all things, there is a time and place for them dependent upon the application. If single-pass were always better for dual-row cores, then all dual-core heater-cores would all be made single-pass by the car manufacturers, but they're not.

Car radiators are single pass because they have flow rates high enough to keep per-tube velocity up high enough to make it worthwhile, which is why they typically have 1" ID ports on them.

The PA160 was single-pass because it is a single-core radiator.

Radiical has a single pass single, double, and triple 120mm rad like a BIX/Thermochill.

What are your thoughts on those Cathar?

My single pass BI Pro3 is also single core :)

javascripterror is the owner of http://www.radiical.com.au/ who particularly dislikes anyone asking "Where's the data to backup a manufacturer's claims?".

I'm not saying anything about his stuff.

I've seen him talk to you that way before, but didn't realize it was that serious. Well that's enough info for me Stew, thanks.

Btw, may be getting a second-hand G5 Stew. Iwaki RD20 or Panworld equivilant will be going on it. ;)

I wouldn't trust any store that wont provide data to substantiate their claims. Sounds really sleazy to me and I'd avoid doing business with that sort at all costs.
