Teach me the ways of OC :-)

I currently would like my current system to OC to about 600 (if not the normal)... Heres What i mean:

Here are my system specs:
K6/2+ 500 mhz @ 450
PC-66 64 megs of ram (PNY)
15 gig maxtor 7200 RPM diamond max plus
AOpen AX59 pro with latest bios
Voodoo Banshee AGP

Why cant i get her higher than 450mhz? im already using the 6 multiplyer, its at a 2.2v. and at a 95mhz FSB... what can i try to get it higher?!?!?!?!?!

Sad part is, his chip is proably running faster than mine just cause of the + series code. And ewww on you for the ram!

Have you verified in Windows what speed the CPU is actually running at?

I know several BIOSes that will not report the actual speed, but just the one that is closest.

Go get WCPUID from H.Oda, and verify what you are actually running at before you pull all of your hair out.

And, If your running a Via Apollo MVP3 chipset board (sorry too lazy to look up yer board), just run the memory at 66MHz and the bus at whatever.

About that 66MHz ram..

I had a 32mb stick of PC66 that I used to use.. (where in the hell is it now tho?) in my box at 115MHz fsb *no problems whatsoever*

also my friend has a stick of 64mb PC66 that does 100MHz fine.

Im still wondering where it is now tho..
