Air conditioner as cooling.
now i know this wouldnt be that hard. using air conditioning process as a way of cooling air, mabe even liquid at the same time and cooling air as a by product.
an air conditioning system work almost the same as a liquid cooling system, but focuses on cooling more then just circulating. this diagram shows how it works. http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/5816/acupsnew5fw.gif if you can make this miniature, you have yourself a below room temp. cooling system. making this smaller shouldnt be too much of a problem, since the only reason why its so big and bulky, is the fact that there trying to cool a entire room. where trying to cool a much smaller computer case. and it doesnt all have to fit inside the case, it could also fit behind or partialy inside, just like some liquid cooling systems. all you basically need is: A compressor An expansion valve A hot coil (on the outside for dispersing heat) A chilled coil (on the inside for cooling air) Two fans A control unit (i drawed that myself by the way, lol.... ;) ) |
this guys a troll right...
RIGHT?!? |
Wing:
Are you suggesting have a sealed case, and then have a small AC system transport the heat? This would not be very efficient. It should also be noted that it is not very easy to find small compressors. A chilled liquid system would be much more efficient. |
what do you mean have a sealed case?
you wouldnt need a sealed case for a AC system. also, why wouldnt that be very efficient? and yes i do agree with you on finding a small compressor, but it doesnt mean it wouldnt work if you could. chilling the liquid was the other suggestion i gave for this too. here's another diagram http://img382.imageshack.us/img382/7828/acwaterl3tz.gif http://img371.imageshack.us/img371/6...rlabels1ag.gif |

what about it?
its a cpu cooler. it works on the same way as a AC, but instead of a air cooling, it cools water, or mabe air, im not shure, into a single part of a computer. almost the same thing but not what im talking about. cooling the air inside a computer case seems a very simple, but good thing to do. go in your car and turn the AC on at full blast, and tell me that wouldnt be cool to have as your computer fan. AC's, if built correctly can also work as DEHUMITIFIER. if you ask me, this is what we all wont. we havnt been able to cool, without having condisation, whitch distroys everything. so thus keeping us from cooling are comp's below a certain tempature. but AC's, if you noticed while in the car with it on, blow out DRY COOL AIR. |

well its still a good idea, i knew you could use this for more then case cooling, you could even have multiple cooling hoses that run to each piece of hardware, not just one.
|
atleast hes posting in random nonsense, I hate it when people post in the wrong areas.
|
wow your a posser you know that joe.
|
You should really read some of your own posts.
|
you should too read mine too.
and by the way, that line isnt funny, its funny for little white kids with rich parents like cause you wont to be a black ganster. and there is nothing wrong with this topic, cause it seems that it works good. |
I dont even know what the hell you are talking about... something about non funny black ganster kids...
|
thats because your stupid

hehe I feel like I am in a Jr high lunch room when I read this thread hehe.
"NO IM NOT.. YOUR STUPID!!" hehe |
no, really, it's a great ideia.

That picture is unbelievable TerraMex!!!
That's not your room by any chance is it Wing? ______ TaTs |
Well, if you designed the world's very first phase change comptuer cooler, it would have to be all aluminum otherwise it wouldnt cool as well. This, my friends, is a fact that cannot be disputed.

( :D for the cooling impaired ) |

Phase change works more efficiently if you just cool the CPU and let low velocity air cool the rest. Nothing else really benefits greatly from phase change other than the GPU, and the graphics card is USUALLY limited by memory which does NOT benefit greatly from extreme low temperatures. There was a nice Overclockers.com URL posted. Read it and then read the stuff posted in the phase change forum. Really, we're not stupid, so start by assuming that we've thought of all the ideas you've come up with. Because.... we probably have. Most of the serious people here are well above the first sigma in IQ and they have spent the time to try out a LOT of approaches. |
<flame>
he strikes me as the kind of people who doesnt let logic get in the way. ;) </flame> |
i never said you were stupid, just joe. cause he thinks i care about what he knows. thats all.
well you guys might have thought of this before, but i just started getting into cooling systems around 2 mounth ago. so for me to think of this that fast may not be a new idea, but its still origonal for since i never new or had any idea about any cooling systems for my computer, besides fans until just recently. i didnt even know you could by a liquid cooling system untill i got into building my computer, and was even thinking about building my own for a new idea. but now i find out every1 has taken wat i think of. |
