15v Pelt on 24v PSU?
 
Hello,

Still have not purchased neither of them, but...

Would a 15v pelt run off a 24V PSU losing the 9 volts or would it just be over-volted and burn?

It's for buying either the Meanwell S-320-15 or 24

It would be undervolted leading to lower performance but higher efficiency.

Have a look in your peltiers datasheet for the performance at 15v.

Edit: Ignore this, I didn't read to post properly and in relation to that this post is utter nonsense.

not a good idea. I highly recommend running a 15V pelt @ 12V
S-320-12 is a good choice...

Yeah, do what Bruce says.. Usualy TECs will handle high voltages at higher temps, but i guess high temps aren't what you're looing for.
