how to clean?

I just realized that my hoses are green(arg!). What should I do to clean out the radiator? The block I can disassemble, the hoses are replacable, the res is replaceable but I dont want to spend the $$$ to replace the rad. Any helpful hints?

... water and vinegar mix works, so does cola. then water with a bit of soap.
rinse with alot of water for a while .

note: rad only. talking about cleaning metal.

Do not use Coke to clean a WC'ing setup since it contains sugars that grow the green funny things in the water.

50% Distilled White Vinegar and 50% Distiller Water mixture is the start. If the tubes are really bad, then replace them. ;)

Should I flush a new system with Vinegar?

DO NOT use "regular vinegar" since that is made from apples. Apples contain high levels of sugars. You'll be feeding the funny green things and they will multiply.
