To Marci and Cathar, just recieved my PA160, Storm block with a DDC pump and 30ft 7/16 masterclear tubing (dont wanna run out LOL) The PA160 is one clean piece of work in its fit and finish and the shroud is nice and beefy as well as cleanly mounted. Now the Storm block well it is just plain slick they did a good job of producing your baby for the masses Cathar. This weekend Ill be putting them in my v2000 case, after I take out and transplant the D-tek pro 120 rad and D-tek mag pump to the wife computer. If they perform anything like they look well Ill be grinning from ear to ear. I will be curious to see if there is any change in my temps not that they arent good now. But again kudos to you guys. Things sure have changed from modding heater cores from cars and pond pumps from the hardware stores.

FYI: 7/16" is larger than 3/8" which is the default size for DDC fittings. Sorry to burst you bubble, unless, of course, you've moded it to 1/2".

Thanks max, Im aware of the size difference and I wiil adapt for leakless connections. Im looking to make a well cooled computer that is quiet and wanted to try the DDC. If it doesnt work out I will go to the D5. After some testing with the pump in the stock configuration I might consider modding the pump to 1/2 in-out. As a Master Plumber of 25 years which really pays off in this hobby LOL this wont be a problem. Thanks again the ole bubble is still intact.

Hey, you're welcome Bigredhog. What's great about the watercooling community, and Procooling, is that we all seem to get together amicably (for the most part) and work to make things better. This is where it's most fun. People in different parts of the planet who don't really know each other, working together, and producing something that the end-users can appreciate and enjoy. Not many industries left where that happens. Probably the closest thing would be the open-source stuff.

Sadly though, rising costs and increased complexities, not to mention egos, and economic pressures brought on by ruthless competition seems to be doing it best to kill it all off though. Oh well.

I still use a pond pump, and it works great. :D

Sure they work great, in fact Im retiring my Danner mag after over 5 years of service through numerous builds (got my $59.00 out of it LOL) I do not miss it's low hum plus the DDC is dead silent. And your point is?

Sure, I got the PA 160 from Dangerden for $89.00. Whats impressive to me is Im running a 4800 X2 O/C to 2.5 at 1.40 volts plus Im using a maze 4 on my 7800 GTX OC and my temps are running 5 over ambient and around 10 deg under load. Im using 1 120 mm Nexus silent fan pushing through the rad so between that and the DDC pump this box is real quiet. That DDC is really a little workhorse as you can see after going through the two blocks it still shows some serious flow going in the reservoir. So comparing to what I just took out of my system, a D-tek pro 120 with push/pull fans a D-Tek mag pump (CSP type) with just a whitewater block and not cooling the video card I've improved my temps plus got the system even more silent that it was before. So in my opinion a PA160 with one Nexus fan, Storm block, maze 4 GPU block and a DDC pump is an excellent set-up if you want efficient cooling and a quiet computer. Again kudos Marci and Cathar. Now off to watercool the wifes computer with all these "pre-tested" parts LOL

Just thought id add to the thanks!

Current setup includes a Storm/PA 160/Papst Fan/Polar Flo TT/Aquastream pump. These are cooling a 3700 San Diago and a 850XT. Temps are around 26 celcius for the CPU (idling) and 28 for the gfx. Absolutely amazing. Hope to get a tricod soon as the papst makes a slight chugging noise even when undervolted.

DangerDen should have PA120's en-route to them within next few days afaik and then they should be available from usual US Outlets...

Should also be adding Spanish and Italian outlets to the list within the next few days...
