Peltier not working

Hi,

I bought a peltier(118W), I use a 300W that can output 12V @ 12A max to power it, but it doesn't get cool or hot. Is there other ways to check if the peltier works or not?

Thanks.

you mean if you just plug the pelt in on its own it does nothing? It's toast.

Toast? but it does not look or smell like it's burned, and I didn't test it for more than a sec because I was afraid I might fry it.

Toast in the non-fuctional piece of hardware sense not the literal sense. If you connect it with the plates between your fingers you should feel one get warm and one cold within a few seconds, after that switch it off, if that doesn't happen it's a faulty TEC.
