MCP300 cracked housing...help

Hey guys.
I bought a good condition pump from a friend in order to run it in loop with a 6002-A in my media center PC.
Its the old AC Swiftech MCP300 with bare wires.
After closer inspection I saw a crack in the housing. It looks as though the crack may extend past the O-ring internally. Is it worth attempting to seal this crack from in- and outside?
I can always get my $$$ back from the guy, but I need a pump. Anyone have any experience with goop? or a pump for sale?

let me know what you think....

did you mean patch it Bill?? or pitch it as in throw it the heck back at the guy?

Thing is I am willing to try to patch it, just I cant even open the damn thing (I think th eprevious owner glued it). I dont want to break it more either.
Its made in Italy, so there is a good chance it is hydor.

Bill, how do you open the metal inlet housing anyways? I don't use mine but I'm just curious.

If desperately need the pump and don't want to have to physically replace, find a large jubilee clip style thang (can't get the name to reach my tongue at the mo) that'll go over it... turn it off and empty it. Splurge silicon sealant over the split. Tighten the jubilee band, let it dry.

See how it goes... *shrug*

was going to suggest the same with zip ties, plus goop.
should keep things in place ... keeping the zipties on a permanent basis...

the clamp and sealant will cost more than that Siccie pos was worth new, and now ?
now if you were on Pluto and had no other options . . . . .

right. If I were to fix it, the plan wouldve been to clamp shut the crack and seal it with sealant. Bill is right though, the thing only cost me $20 including a relay.
Guess its going out the back and into the woods.
Anyone willing to sell a pumping-friend for my lonely 6002?

Thanks anyways guys.
