Enlarged end tank = combined rad+res?

I'm working on installing watercooling in a htpc system and due to space restraints integrate the reservoir into my rad.

The endtank would be replaced with a small plexi box, the volume of which would be around 0.3-0.7L. Rad would be placed on the side with the inlet above the outlet obviously.

Quick solidworks/paint drawing attached if you are finding my explanation a bit iffy.

Are there any isues I have missed, or will this work like a charm?

inlet outlet of rad are upside down due to traped air

may not matter due to inbuilt res

Might be easier to to tap into the tank than trying to seal the joint. A t-line might be the easiest if the is a good location for it.

Unless your fill port is also the highest point in the loop I'm not sure what you gain by this.
I think GlassMan had it right...simply adding a stoppered bung to the lower plenum would be a lot easier than replacing the whole plenum, but even that seems like a lot of work just to replace a simple t-line fitting.

Your design doesn't really qualify as a reservoir anyway as it doesn't really affect the volume of bubblefree water at the pump inlet.

Space was extremely limited, wouldn't really have had any room for a t-line. Could be stuffed in there with somewhere with force, no worries.
But then i'd rather go with no fillpoint whatsoever, which i have chosen to do.
