Not gonna bother modding the res i dont think. The hose clamp you see is made by pi-thon. Got them at www.summitracing.com, they are on sale, not cheap.

What id do - short section of brass hex stock, or brass tube. Connect to the fill hole, then make a window in the top of your UFO with acrylic or WHY - then put the brass filling plug on top. Then you get to see the res; either that, or just put a window in, you'd probably just pull the res forward to fill it anyway.

gorgeous bit of work, i love polished brass.

They are tapered NPT fittings, that is why they don't bottom out, but trust me, they are tight and sea worthy!

Pretty! You should replace the front black cover with a clear one, to show it off.

Re: Solid Brass Res

Update, I took it apart again and polished the crap out of it. When I leak tested it hooked to a D4, bubbles never went away. If I put a barb on the top port with some hose ala tee line, she bleeds right out. I think I will leave a barb on top, and connect to a fillport in the top of my case. I also put a barb on the INSIDE of the res in the inlet hole (center back) so that hole has 2 barbs. My thinking is this may help with the bleeding, although im not sure. I hope my pump doesnt shatter the glass lol. Will get pics up of it.
