That bend (180 deg) from block to block is tough to get right W/O kinks, coolsleeves, wires, or ties.
Try this: Get about 1 ft of 1/2" CPVC (the beige stuff, the tubing fits over it easier), cap one end, fill it with sand (dry sand!) cap the other end (no need to glue the caps) heat it up over a stove and bend it into a U around something with the proper radius, cut to length, add hose and clamps. The sand keeps the CPVC from kinking. When you bend it, you'll get a nice, even 1/2" ID bend.

Wow...this is pretty interesting. If I have trouble when I try to make the bend on my SLI this weekend, I will definitely try this.

four copper 45° st ells do the same I believe
