172Watt, I read a article that said the 156 couldn't do the job on a T-bird/Duron running that high.

the silicone you can get at target/walmart. it's just household clear silicon selant. get your tubing at mcmaster.com

That silicone you are referring to might be con-formal coating. Its a lot easier and neater (and more expensive!) to use than regular sealing silicone. Its also acetic acid free - no corrosion. Just send an email to Dow-Corning asking for the closest stockist of con-formal coating products to you.
Check out www.dowcorning.com Hope that helps. Cheers Memphis |
http://unaclocker.dhs.org/radiate.zip This is an excellent program that will tell you exactly how much your CPU puts out at full load (wattage) depending on speed and voltage. Very very handy.
Eheim is a nice quiet pump. Magdrives are built like tanks, I like my magdrive now that I put rubber mounts on it and it's stopped rattling my case. ------------------ The UnaClocker Overclock till it goes BOOM! Watercooler extraordinaire! |
the 156W does infact cool the tbird well...as long as you can cool the water adequately...
as far as power is concerned, the peltier draws 12.5 amps consistently at 12V...at 15V, it draws around 15A...I'm using a variable 12-15V 35A pyramid power supply for mine...PS36KX...they have a 25A version that would do fine...but I bought the 35A, because it was only $20 more, and you never know if I'll need to power more peltiers |
