Here is Good?

Cooling "neophyte", having built yet not till now making the evolutionary jump to WC myself, would like to thank the forum for having sent me a B-Day Email greeting.

So, anyways, here I sit wanting nothing more than to build/leak test my custom Water Cooling system..........the pump and last waterblock arrived today.........but the heater core goes back for replacement in the morning.

So, help me decide whether the system should run on Water, Coolant or Pure Single Malt Whisky...............

As you see my Highland hospitallity has provided you with a couple shotz for starters:p

Thanks BB, just hand "tooled" my temp reservoir till my flatstock arrives.
2lb polyvinyl Folgers can with ½" barbs.........leak test with pump up next!!

**Note** it looks considerably better than the water socks in my Av.

Uh? Any brass (non plated) barb will solder well. And any hardware/auto part/home improvement store will have them. You'll prolly have to use a torch, not an iron, to get the parts hot enough though.

Getting closer...:
http://webbase.transpro.com/catalog.php?partnum=398219

Fedco doesn't exist anymore; it was taken over by Ready-Aire. The only conversion link I have is:
http://www.autopart.com/radiatorinfo/heatercoretech.htm
but it doesn't work for some reason.

Your number 398219 is a GDI number. From the dimensions, I'm unable to find a Fedco number. Looks a lot like 2-199, but could be many others.

Yes it says both on the box and I'll take it from here. Thanks for your valid effort/help as it isn't wasted upon my lack WC IQ.

I'll be sure to name my res/design the BB2K-T'agua in return.

Well what year is that Scotch, looks nummy... how I could so use to get down with a snifter of 18 year old scotch, and a cuban cigar (Cohiba Siglo III's are what I prefer). Thats the perfect night in my mind :) Only too sad that the Cigars are hard to get in the US, and the scotch would bankrupt me... oh well
