what should a snap drive be?

I have two snap 1100's (250 GB each)

Long story (one is original; one has been upgraded to new 250 drive using other 250's OS from using instructions from another thread).

OK.. as a snap harddrive sits, how should it's jumpers be set? Master? Cable select? Slave? Nothing?

I swear everytime I look at a new Snap hard disk it's not the same as the last (in regards to jumper settings). Is it just a fundamental difference between manufacturers?

Thanks in advance.

Re: what should a snap drive be?

I think the 1100 (single drive) is set as master. You only have 2 choices with a singe drive. But maxtor drives I think have one additional option "Single Drive"

I know the 2x00 and 4x00 is really scrambled.
