Re: New to watercooling
the only problem i see , is finding room for a Radiator , Ive been thinking on a Swiftech kit , most likely the Swiftech Ultra kit ............I have Considered just buying a radiator , pump , tubing , and Constructing the resevior and stuff , but all together the price seems to be just as buying a Built kit..............what do you guys think?

Re: New to watercooling
It depends upon how handy you are with a dremel or other power tools. If you buy a kit, the huge factor is from who makes it. Swiftech makes a good kit, but I wouldn't buy a kit from OCZ unless someone had a knife to my kit.
The advantage to buying parts is that you get the best of breed for each component. Swiftech doesn't make the best radiator, for instance. Marci does, but Swiftech's offering seems to be very decent and it is well priced. On the other hand, the CPU waterblock could be decent from just about any of the big manufacturers. Cathar (Storm series of blocks), Bruce from Cooltechnica, Dangerden, or Swiftech all make perfectly good blocks. |
