KT7 Raid...problems for first time install..Bad mobo?
 

KT7 Raid...Happens with the mobo in and out of the case with two differnt power supplies. After plugging in the ATX power into the mobo, the fans occasionally will spin for a fraction of a second then..nothing. Nothing happens whatsoever.The only thing that I haven't switched out is the CPU as the Tbird 750 is the only one that I have, and it works in another mobo. The ram is Micron PC 133. I also tried some generic PC 133 I have here and it does the same thing.

re-check your jumper settings ,ive had that problem when i left the clear cmos jumper on,it would start for a second then go right off,once i set the jumper back it worked fine,im not sure if your board has this jumper but just a thought...

It was the mobo..took it back and exchanged it. Got it home and spent 5 minutes putting the computer back together and wow..it worked. Guess it's true that Abit has sloppy quality control. The first mobo was brand new, never opened before me. Now to load the OS and get started with the fun stuff http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif

OH yea...I did check the jumper settings..first thing that I did. I've made that mistake myself before...LOL
