Snap Server 1100 and File Creation Date
Hi,
We currently have 4 snap 1100 and we use them to store key information on our network. We have a serious issue with the drive though and can't find a solution. When we save a previously created file (in some cases as much as 7yrs old) the file creation date is changing to be newer than the modified date. Does anybody know if this is a setting on the drive or if we need an update or patch for it. I'm not sure what snapOS version we are running on the drives. We have had them for just over 12 months. Cheers Shaun Wilmer |

I know of no setting, but have not looked. When you save a file is should get the current time stamp. Then if updated the the modified date should change. If the unit is only 12 mo old you should be on OS v4.0.860. Click on the SanpAppliance logo on the admin page to get vitals.
A list of cmds is in the wiki section. |

Re: Snap Server 1100 and File Creation Date
cheers :) Will have a read up :D
the main reason why we have 4 is the main office has a main server and a backup and we have a server and backup. Each night the backup copies all the files across so we have a running backup. Its something we haven't seen before, it was on a NT server before and did have any issues! |

Also we are trying to hang an old trumpf pressbrake off the snap so that we can get rid of an old NT server, but it has a translation software called hummingbird and we arn't actually sure if its possible. The other pressbrakes are windows based so it isn't a major problem (I hope).

Re: Snap Server 1100 and File Creation Date
The SnapOS has:
Model Software Hardware Server # BIOS 1000 series 4.0.860 (US) 2.0.2 2***** 4.0.855 Looks like the software is upto date. Could this be a fault with windows XP ? Shaun |
Re: Snap Server 1100 and File Creation Date
I have seen this with XP, so you need to check the files before you copy them to the snap.
