Hmmmm,
That's a tough one, I'd try putting the single possessor kernel back in and see if the problem is still there.(pull the second pros. out to be thorough)

Did you by chance have only one processor installed when you initially loaded Win2K?

If you did, Win2k only installed the single processor kernel and to use SMP you'll have to reinstall. http://www.procooling.com/ubb/frown.gif

Hope this helps.

Oh yeah,...as an after thought. Did you install the VIA 4-in-1 driver? The newest one is 4.25a.

Why do you want a DDR board right when it comes out? I'd wait a while for chipset revisions and driver updates and just have the technology get "run-in" before you jump into it. Radeon has known driver probs in Win2k (other forums are littered with posts about it) and if you have a dual processor board, you'll have effectively wasted your money if you downgrade to Win98 cause the Win9x kernel sucks so much that it can only handle one processor. You're best solution is to get the latest Windows Service packs, chipset drivers, and video card drivers and if that doesn't solve the problem then i'd try to reproduce it on a friends computer. I'd trade in the radeon (damn, i love radeons though) for a geforce 2 mx or GTS and see if it'll work then. If it doesn't then flash the bios with the latest bios revision. If all else fails, ENTER THE WORLD OF LINUX. QNX too is very good but only for business type of stuff.
