Plz Help with water cooling setup.... Buncha questions

Ok I am considering getting water cooling in my new computer...

I am planning on using the Danger den Maze 2 block
BE Cooling Aquacoil,
and EHeim 1250 pump or Danner Supreme Magdrive model 5... with 1/2 tubing

Is this an OK setup?
What is a good radiator? Does the aquacoil perform OK?

Which pump has the least magnetic field and noise, danner or eheim?

If I were to leave the pump continously plugged in, would noise be an issue when I sleep?

Where can I get one of those power strips w/ surge that when you turn the main comp on, it automatically senses it and powers on all the other components connected too (monitor sepaker pump)

What is a good case I can get to watercool?
I am thinking about the Antec SX1030 at http://www.antec-inc.com/product/cases/sohoser.htm

or the Addtronics 6896a at http://www.addtronics.com/6896a.htm

I am not willing to mod (cut holes in) my case, I have no acess to and experience with power tools.

Will these cases easily accomadate the water cooling setup I mention above (with the bigger Eheim pump and radiator at the bottom of the case, and possibly leaving front fans intact)..

Ok I have an interesting question. The addtronics case has a 120 mm fan housing/hole(?) at the front, is there any way I could easily use that housing and connect it to my 120 fan mm + radiator so it blow air out through the front filter?

Also, is negative case pressure bad? (for example if I had to take out the 2 front intake fans in the antec and just have 3 exhaust fans (1 from the psu)?

Also any other good cases to use with the water cooling setup above and good case fan cooling too, and not TOO humongous and prefreably 4 large 5.25 drive bays

What's another easy effective way to prime the water pump without sucking with your mouth?

Ok lastly this may seems stupid but is it OK to touch REd line water wetter with your hands? (who knows)

K thanx

I love the Danger Den Maze 2 with 1/2" Barbs

Your choice for a pump is sorta personal preferance. No one I've heard of has had a problem due to the magnetic field yet. The Danner 500gph hs probably a larger field than the 320gph 1250 Eheim. Although a 350gph Danner has less (lower wattage). The Danners have 1/2" thread so all you need is a couple barb fittings.

As for Radiators I'd also consider a Big Momma, which can be purchased for $49.99 at www.caseetc.com and modded for 1/2" for an extra $5.00. It flows very well and has the best cooling capacity. The aquacube is also a very good choice and probably much easier to mount if you want to do minimal case modding (but don't kid yourself, you will probably need to cut something and at least drill a couple holes to set up any water cooling. that's why this is DIY).

I had watter wetter all over me and I'm fine (car problems) just don't drink it unless you live in a cardboard box and want a cheap fix.

As for pump power, run a relay from a 12v line to turn on / turn off 120v current to pump. Easy to wire but if you can't maybe come up with something else, I'm not going to be liable for explaining.

Negative case pressure isn't totally bad, but you'll get better cooling if the case is fed good cool air from the front, lowering chance of recirculating warm air. Can't you mount a fan behind the new rad? Other problem of negative is sometimes it makes CD-roms get dirty faster (as air sucks threw them). If you do run with only the back fans, try to block off / cover with tape all openings other than the front rad to reduce recirculating heated air.

Because I use a closed loop system I mix up all the coolant then put the pump in the bucket with intake open. Tap put air then start, once everyting full of coolant, I connect hose from waterblock to pump undre water. No Bubbles. I also added a T to catch the few that hide in crevices and just top up if I notice any.

I think the AquaCoil uses 3/8 inch pipes, so 1/2 on the rest of the system would be a waste.

All MagDrive pumps produce some type of magnetic feild. I have no idea which is most intese. I wouldn't worry about it. HD are well sheilded from that sort of thing. Just don't mount the two on top of one another. Though i should probablt look into that . . .

About keeping the pump on all night, thats what I plan to do. Initially I'm just going to wire it to the AC line comeing into the case so that it runs when ever the case is plugged in. I have no idea how loud it will be but I hope its not too bad. If it is then I'll setup a relay.

I've never heard of the surge protector you speak of. Could you be thinking of older AT form computers that had physical on/off toggle switches? On those you could just leave the computer on and hit the surge protector to off. Then when you hit the surge back on the whole system would come on.

Just looked and the Aquacoil is in 1/2, never mind about that.
