Snap Server & SBS 2003
I have a Snap Server 2200 set up on my network. My Windows XP machines can see and browse the snap server without any problems. However, my SBS 2003 server can not find the snap server when I put \\snap in the address bar of windows explorer.
I have read various forums and they all stated that I need to change the LmCompatibilityLevel to 1 or 2. But no matter what I do I can not browse the snap server from my SBS 2003 server. My Snap Server is running the latest firmware V4.0860. |

Can you browse the server using IP and not name....

Re: Snap Server & SBS 2003
No, I can not browse the snap server with its IP address as well.

Re: Snap Server & SBS 2003
Does you network use IP6? SnapOS does not.

Re: Snap Server & SBS 2003
No, my network does not use IP6. I don't think that SBS 2003 even has IP6.

Re: Snap Server & SBS 2003
There is some advanced settings on the snap under Networking Microsoft. But not seeing it and others do point to a setting on the SBS. Sorry I have run out of things to check, and don't have a SBS.
It's very strange that it can not find it using IP address. Is there a security setting (FW) that may be blocking it. |
