I've been playing with 1000's, 1100's, 2000's and 2200's for awhile now and I'm happy to report that my 1100 is now the proud garage for my 1TB Hitachi 7K1000:

The Snap OS will support drives <1T. The only concern is the PS. The larger HD have more platters and require more power to spin them up. So for longer life run it 24/7 with a UPS.

Yes, this is true - but how many 1TB drives that you know of come in a PATA version?
