10 years of Snap server PDF's

I was cleaning up my work files and I have nearly 10 years of Snap server PDF's & other items (no OS images!) for most Snap models including units like the 14000, 2000, 4400, SD30 and others....
I couldn't bring myself to delete them and I would like to share them with all of the Snap Forum members, they are quite amusing!

MaddMatt, I have no idea what the PDF's are. My guess is the tech notes on the Snap OS. How much storage space is required for these? I would like to take a look at them to see if we need to post in the wiki sections of FAQ's.

As far as the Silver Tech support we get a lot of negative input from users that have used Adaptec (USA). It seams there most common repair is to wipe every thing clean and start over.

Yes, the PDF's are the product datasheets there are also some whitepapers, admin guides, images and alike, all up they are less than 64MB uncompressed. I thought you guys would like a look at them...


The Silver ATS is nice... e.g. if/when a drive dies and once reported the replacement arrives with an installer the next business day... the units themselves rarely die but if one did the replacement would arrive the next business day with an installer also, you also get full access to OS updates etc...

Without ATS you get 90 Days access to OS updates etc from date of purchase...

RE: the negative input...
My guys tell me that they only need to wipe a snap when someone gets a little over excited and does something silly like type Linux commands into the console etc... they can reload things but when the whole thing is rooted the only thing you can do is wipe it and start again.

Not sure that it is to do with the support service, more the user...

I do it with Windows on my home systems too - wipe it and start again... I get all huffy with Bill too...

I do know of a bug with the AV. It is also very picky on which browser you use too. IE works most of the time for me but FF will report a 404 error. There seams to be no problem if it's left running 24/7 but reboots does cause problems.

Adaptec fix for this is to do a clean install, and all that is needed to recover is to manually run the uninstaller. Then you can reinstall and set it up again. But it's short lived till the next reboot. I'm thinking its a JAVA problem that the AV. And this is with XP.
