Snap410 locked files - can't delete
Not sure how some of my users did it but they managed to get some files locked to the point where noone can view, rename, move or delete them. Several reboots of the Snap - cold and warm - have had no effect. Support has expired so Adaptec has been no help. I was wondering if anybody knew of a way to get in through the debug console and force a release of the locks or even manually delete the files? I was able to recover all of the data from back-ups so no problem there, just need to get rid of the shrapnel.
Unit is: Snap 410 GOS 4.4.049 with SP3 applied have had almost no problems with it in a years worth of use Thanks, JELo |
Re: Snap410 locked files - can't delete
SSH into the shell with putty. Once your there login under admin. Then osshell (may be os shell) then su root, enter the admin password. Then locate the files and use chmon to 777. that will give you full rw access.
Some times it's easier to just delete the user share. The add it back in, then restore the files from backup. |
