Snap 4200 Max Disk Size
Hi,
I am about to get my hands on a Snap 4200, it only has a 40Gb drive in it and wanted to upgrade the disks. After a lot of searching I have been unable to find out what is th biggest drives i can install. I know there are 4 drives in it so what are the max size these can be? Also does anyone know what the DbA (Noise level) is for this unit? Hope someone can help. Kind Regards Tony |
Re: Snap 4200 Max Disk Size
The 4200 is in the same family as my 4500. The max is limited by the IDE interface which is around 500gig. It will work with 1T if you can find the correct interface. As for noise you want them in a cabinet so it can help muffle the sound. These have a blower on the cpu which has a very high dBA. Lets just say you don't want them in the living room.
At 40 gig I would think you may have a 4100, if this is the case your max is limited to 137gig. Read the FAQ's |
