Snap 18000 just shows it is initializing
 

My snap 18000 was working well until I mounted it into a rack...

It would not boot it just says "initializing..." on the LED display...

I noticed that the metal where the mounts attach had started to bend under its weight... once removed the bending has become much less pronounced.

I have totally taken it apart and cleaned the whole unit after removing it from the rack in case there was movement in any connections etc... it all seems ok now however it still it just says "initializing..." on the LED display...

The nvram card batteries look ok physically and do not showing the fault LED iluminated, but does when I hit the test button as it should so i know it is working...

If anyone has experianced this before or can anyone offer constructive advice?
Is it worth trying hyperterminal and a nul modem cable?
