Magdrive 250 or Eheim 1046?

Which pump is better? I have for years, been modding cases for all kinds of funky air cooling rigs and have decided to plunge head long into active cooling. I decided to go with the Hayden 1676 radiator and the Swiftech MCWMCW 462B water block. Now which pump to buy? I heard the Magdrive has a high flow rate/loud/ and a magnetic field 2 feet in length. The Eheim I heard was Quiet/ lower flow rate/ and almost no magnetic field. the price doesnt matter I got a budget of $60 for my pump. Which pump will cool better?

Those two pumps don't even compare.. 250gph vs like 80gph.. If you have $5 more, you could get the Eheim 1250, which is much closer to the Danner Supreme Magdrive 250.. Tho not in price. I hear the Eheim is dead silent, I have a Danner, and it's only a slight hum that you only hear when the system is turned off.

I also have a magdrive 250.
For the price it is ok, but I have sense cracked the plastic intake and had to use a large clamp + sealant to keep everything working.

If the price was lower on the Eheim I would have bought it instead of the magdrive.

wow I forgot about this post. I did the same thing to my Magdrive250 just yesterday. I swaped out the elbo for a straight 3/8" fitting and cracked it at the top and bottom. First i covered the hose barb in thread paste( I never use tape) then I laid a layer of epoxi across the cracks. because it is the intake you dont need to wait for the epoxi to dry . it will be trying to suck air theough the cracks anyway, and second the thread past unlike thread tape will fill in the crack and stop water/ air from getting in or through. I have done this on several occasions on my fish tank pumps. neever leaks again as long as you dont remove the fitting.
