What do you guys think of the Caseetc Coldforge?

I'm just wondering. People seem to love it at the OCP. To me it seems that it is EXTREMELY well built, but almost TOO big. It practically dwarfs the DH3 case... What do you guys think?

.... All I gotta say its the only case I have seen that you can put a mini fridge INSIDE to cool your gear.

OMG that thing is SILLY HUGE! Infact I am thinking of buying it, straping on one of my R/C engines to it, and decorate the inside.. ANd I got myself a mobile home then! http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif

When I saw some pic's of it sitting next to the WTX 8500 from Addtronics ( the case I am using for DH3) I was like wow that case ia big, whats that lil mid tower case next to it... OH SHIT.. thats a WTX Case!!

This 8500 is SO huge I need to buy a hand cart to move it to lan parties( also the weight of 80lbs has something to do with that), but this case you are talking about will need a flat bed or something! http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif

Honestly, Its not.. Umm portable I dont think, most cars wont fit it.

I want to get my mits on one badddly though! They do look like a clean canvas for all the modding you could ever want to do!

BTW the price is CHEAP! Compared to a 300 - 400$ WTX 8500 case the 280 for a case almost twice the size and all made of Aluminum... thats just AWESOME!

that is a pretty [H]ard box all right... but too big in my opinion.. though the all aluminium construction ought to make it a lot lighter than similar sized steel cases. But i have a tightly packed mini/mid tower case, and i like it, it looks so small and simple yet contains so much goodies

Yeah... I agree w/ what you guys said. As far as the price, after these 1000 sell out, the next batch of cases will not be nearly as expensive cuz there's no research and stuff. So if you want one, you might wanna hold out for a while. The most I have ever spent on a case was $55... and that always has included a psu (which I sell on eBay) http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif.
As far as construction goes though, it is seriously the best built PC case I have ever seen. I'm debating between it and the YY case...

Hey,personally I like having just a full tower case,(currently an Aopen HX08),it has plenty of room for my water cooling system,my full size a7v mainboard etc, etc,a case like the coldforge seem larger than what your average "overclocker/watercooler" would need and at around 280.00 maybe more, just for the case ,I think the price tag is also too large, the majority of the people I see are still using mid ATX case's,a lot of full towers too,but modding small cases is making a comeback right now,so for its incredible size and price it looks like it may be aimed at a corporate/server market anyway, sure I would like one, but I don't think it would be to much fun taking a dremel and a hole saw to a nice new 280.00 aluminum coldforge case,I paid 110.00 for my case and that seemed high to me and my budget, its now a totally different case than it was, all of my mods haven't increased the resale value, but i do have a case that fits my needs and does exactly what I want it to...stay cool, quite,be roomy, and look good doin it!
all of which are taking in to consideration, (and a whole lot more)come prebuilt in the coldforge,my ego says yes! but my wifey says no,and shes backed up by my wallet!so what else can I say.....catch ya later!

price tag too high? what do you suggest...sell it below cost? this mofo costs $265 to build..it's well worth the money for what you get...go take a look at how much the W8500 is w/o power supply..

I tell ya people its not a case, its just a hollowed out mobile home!!! You could fit 2 computers in that case!
