Linux when and where?
im looking to set up a linux box and am wondering if theres anything i need to do to get it on a bootable floppy?
this is my first time with it but i figure it will help my computer know how to learn it |
I'm not even an expert here, but I download mandrake 8.0 ISO. When I made it a regular cd it came up in windows and I had an option to make a boot floppy. I didn't need one though, mandrake found ALL of my harware including printer,Raid controller,NIC,video card, I mean everything.
I would go to the site for the type of lynix you have and check their hardware compatibility. It will save you alot of grief. GOOD LUCK! |
