To shim or not to shim

There is many shims out there , almost every store you go to like Crazy PC , 2CoolTek , CPUFX , etc list goes on for a long time. But the point is do they really do anything? and how do you like the fact of having something highly conductive resting right next to your core? My personal oppinion is no - just some mumbo jumbo made up for money like those fke Hallmark holidays.

Shims are for girls.. :) People who are clumsy enough to kill their CPU without a shim will find a way to do it WITH one too. Take off the training wheels and become a PROfessionalCooler.. :)
