Overclocking a Geforce3

I haven't had an nVidia card in a while. I just got a Geforce3. I got the DetXP drivers and stuff. The coolbits reg hack doesn't seem to work. Do I have to use a 3rd party program to o/c now? Which should I use? I'd prefer not to use powerstrip cuz it has that damn thing every time my computer boots up.

I`ve recently bought a GeForce 3 (Gainward Golden Sample) and put Detonator 4 on my system (Win ME). I downloaded GeTune and used the tweak on that to enable the overclocking function.

It worked fine for me until I tried tweaking around some more with GeTune then things went pear shaped.

So, I`d download it and just activate coolbits tweak, nothing else. Tweak from the Display properties tab...

Hope it helps :)

My MSI came w/overclocking in the driver.
I then loaded the xp driver and the overclocking features are still there.

you could get the MSI drivers(12.41) then load the xp drivers like I did.

Hmmm I might go the MSI drivers route. Sounds interesting.

Woodsie, unfortunately coolbits don't work w/ the newer drivers :(.
