Hollowed Cube & some semi-mounted Heatercores

Hey hey hey...
I hollowed out the cube for a bunch of work to be done, and I thought y'all might want to see just how crappy and cut up it looks w/out all the purdy fans and grills and stuff.

I decided to see how the shrouded heatercores would look in the case too, and THEY ARE LOOKIN GOOD! If you didn't see just the original shrouds, check here: pReViOuS pOsT

On that last picture, I dont think those fittings are to secure. You may want to add a little more JB-Weld to them just to make sure...

:P

Yah they actually haven't been JB Welded yet. I'm going to trim off that little flap on the last heatercore too. I'll do the JB Welding tomorrow after I get the fans all mounted properly and the case cleaned.

I can't guaruntee it, but it looks EXACTLY like mine does. Mine even had those funny long pipes w/ 5/8" fittings. So yah that's it.

Cuz I don't have time, resources, or patience. Plus I like how my case looks. It looks pimp as hell when it is all put together. But the time and resources thing is the major issue

Oh hahahaha I get the joke ;). Last night I was really tired and I didn't know what you meant. Well hehehe better to have them TOO leak-proof than not enough!

Hey Kev,

Where are you gonna mount those 120's, inside the shrounds? I see that you are going to use two radiators. I am planning to do the same. I notice you are using one copper rad and an alumium rad. What about corrosion?? I read that mixing the two can make the thing like a battery.

Kevin 12-18-2001 02:11 AM

Yah the 120s will go inside the shrouds and I will use water wetter to prevent corrosion.

Wow! Nice cutting work! I hope my YY case will finish up as nice
as yours...I'll post pics as I get it assembled again!

Sweet!
Oh hey btw... has anyone seen the new PCGamer? A company is now using the YY Cube for thier systems. PCGamer reviews it.
