I was bored so I made another WB

Hi, some time ago I saw #Rotors turbolator WB, so I decided to make something similar, so this was create few minutes ago. It took me 6h with simple vertical drilling machine.

then soldered the top and 14mm (12 ID) Cu pipes for in&outlet

Didn't have time to perfect the looks cos' I wanna see the results.
Here is WB inside my case

And here how I screw it to MB, I use 6mm plexy plate so the MB doesn't bend to much (I use a lot of force)

The results were good, I cut another 2°C from full load temp. of TB 1520@2.11, now its 31°C with water temp of 21°C.

Nice job man :D

Where did you get your copper?

I bought it from local distributor of AL & Cu , they got all kind of profiles and pipes, I'm there a lot :)

For reference what block where you using before that had 2C greater temp?

I used my home made Cu cross drilled 10 mm ID W shaped chanell water block, http://www2.arnes.si/~mlivak/old%20block1.JPG http://www2.arnes.si/~mlivak/old%20block2.JPG

now thats a damned nice block. Honestly though I would have thought you would get more than 2C.

have you thought of taking out the non-drilled area which makes the water follow a path, and just have it completely open?

That is sweet, 6 hours of work. I respect that, i could never do that, as i don't have the patience, and poor soldering skills.
I'm thinking about making a cross drilled block, just for fun, get into the custom, self made cooling hardware.

hell yeah 6 hours is a long time, but the results paid off.

I wonder how long my block will take to make with all those thin plates
