Is This Pump too good for me ?

1. Eheim 1048 Pump - 158GPH @ $63.99
2. Eheim 1250 Pump - 317GPH @ $75.00

I know there is only a small difference in price, so some would think get the better one. But i've heard that there is such a thing as too higher flow rate.

Will a 1048 be enough as im very limited for space ?

My setup is drawn below, and will be all 3/8\", swiftech + black ice.

The 1250 is not too much flow, on the other hand with 3/8" you won't get much better flow than a 1048. The 1048 will hte fine.

with all the time u spent on that fancy 3d thingy u could have built the watercooling system... bought both pumps and returned the one u dont like..

but seriously.. i would go with the 1250... remember u can always throttle it down with a valve if u want.

if your telling me your could do set up a cooling system in less than 10min then im impressed.

The digram is an extract from one of my whole case. its too scale (approx) so i can work out what will fit. :D

also its easier to explain the plumbing design, as its going into a G4 tower case with a 1.4 T-bird in it.

Those blue bits rotate

I'd get the bigger pump, cause you can always restrict the flow of a more powerful pump if you want, but it is a bit harder to get a less powerful pump to produce more power

hmm

eheim 1046 with 300 l/h was standard

it is enough for your cooling system

1048 600 l/h imho is the best pump today for your system

1250 1200 l/h

the 1250 is only needed for users who have this radi ;)

the 1250 has a very big connection Ø17mm and Ø13mm

now thats a damned nice rad! all copper too.

you'd also need a powerful pump for a system with a lot of blocks, like dual cpu's, gpu, nb, hdd's
