Non-Hardcore Watercooling Setup?

I'm trying to build a water cooling system, and as I'm a n00b, I'm having trouble deciding exactly what equipment I need. I want to water cool my Athlon XP 1800 and my gf3 with a system that not only runs pretty quiet but is also cost-effective. I don't think I need the absolute greatest stuff, but I don't want crap, either. I'm just looking for you guys' opinions on stuff, such as how powerful of a pump do I need, what're the "best" radiators and blocks, etc. Also, I'm wondering if I should get a peltier for the CPU. I don't plan on overclocking, but I want my CPU to run cool. If I did get a peltier, I don't want one so powerful that my mobo etc turn into a block of ice; just one that'll take the CPU to maybe 10-15 degrees celcius.

Anyway, I've done some research and I've been looking at the various products out there, so I know what most stuff is, but I don't know how much cooling power I really need. Any insights in regards to that issue would be greatly appreciated.

Pelt is very hardcore by its nature. I'm not even comfortable with them.

I'm going to promote DangerDen's stuff .. many would.

Radiator: Heater Core ($35)
CPU block: Maze 1C ($38) or Maze 2 ($42)
GPU block: GeForce video block ($34.50)
Pump: Eheim 1048 ($57)
Hose: Silicon

The Maze2 blocks is exclusively for Socket A, so it may not be your primary choice if you look to the future. The video block is not guarantueed to fit your video card, check thiscurrent thread.

Have you considered the Zalman GPU and chipset coolers? They are passive and makes your system much less complex, leaving you with only the CPU to watercool. Worked for me.

I would stay away from Peltier cooling if I were you, besides the added complexity you will not gain anything substantial by lowering the CPU temps to sub-ambient temps.

I have a Zalman GPU cooler, Maze2 cpu block, Eheim 1048 pump, LPD radiator (150x100x20 mm, DD's smallest).
In-socket cpu temps for my Palomino 1500+@1.66GHzare below 45 in a 20 degree ambient room. GPU temp of my Asus GF2GTS Deluxe is 55 degrees, the same as with the noisy active stock cooler.

Edit: video block might not fit

cpu block, I have to agree and say maze1c (mounting is easy) maze2 (performance)
gpu block, dden's offering again.
radiator, liquidcool.org bigger = better
pump, www.petsmart.com for danner pumps, or DDen for eheim.
hose, silicone from dden
