build your own phase change cooling

Has anybody tried to build their own phase change cooling, like VapoChill?

I am at the drawing board as we speak working on a phase change system. I wanted to crunch some numbers first before i went to a design. Do you know any good links for the heat disappation of a 1 ghz intel processor? Thanks in advance....

yes, lots of people have done it before. A much more efficient way it to have the fins on the condensor cooling a body of water, and having a very high powered pump to get the water to the cpu and back.

with a 1.6hp compressor a friend of mine has got to -10C with a 200w heatload
