Heatercore and Powersupply possible heat problem
I might have done this in worng topic...
From case mods Ok I just ordered a white YY cube.(yes I'll be painting it). I want to mount my DD heatercore at the rear of the case. Since the YY PS location is at the bottom of the case; the rad would be going above the powersupply.(Like Kevin's case) My question is, would heat rising from the powersupply affect the rad. in a bad way? Or should do some serious modding and place the PS at the top of the case and Rad below it? Btw I have an enermax 365 whisper. And Ill be using 2 H/O panaflow 120 fans in a push/pull config. on the heatercore. Thanks |
most enermax power supplies are known for porducing very little heat, most of which will go straight out through the back fan anyway.
I doubt that having the psu there will affect your temps at all. |
Hey,
I've got exactly the same setup as yours. I put a 80mm input fan just above the PSU (i.e. between the PSU andthe rad), there was even appropriate holes right here. Just had to remove that nasty air-blocking grill with a blow-torch :) Anyways the PSU blows out most of its heat. Just make sure to bring enough fresh air in, from where you want. |
Did my post get removed? WTF!
