what radiators are you fellows using...

just wonder which radiators people are using im in the process of putting my cheap first water cooling set up together im deciding between a 1977 caprice heater core a 1985 ford mustang heater core the mustang is a little be shorter

A large amount of people here use Big Mama's, although any heatercore that is decently sized for a 120mm fan is a possibility. A lot of people also used black ice's

be cooling aquacoil. It fits my case perfectly and provides good cooling

I am using the 1988 Ford Escort with AC heater Core. I mounted 1/4" ID barbs on it to match my system. With 1 120mm it keeps the water at a steady 3C above room temp. I also use a transmission oil cooler that does well to. it is about 4-5C above room temp with a 120mm fan.

I have a DD cube, which is shelved, I use only Dteks cooler cores, I love them, with the fan shroud of course. I think they are well worth the money.

Good luck on your rig.

I use BlackIce II currently and hopefully get a Black Ice Xtreme soon for a new rig... if i can locate one:shrug:

my main system is currently down for total reconfiguring.
in my old config i was using the bigger of the hayden low pressure drop models with modified fittings.

eheim 1048 --> hayden lpd --> homemade bigborde wb -->

I have been using the Dtek heatercore and their shroud, but my H2O setup isn't in a case right now and so I am using a 1975 Caprice heatercore. That is one beefy radiator

decodeddiesel 02-04-2002 10:22 AM

I am using a 1987 Ford Escort W/AC. I chose this radiator becuase it is VERY well fited to the bottom front of ym case and it will fit a 172mm Comair Rototron nearly perfectly.

I have a regular black ice rad. It's small and provides reasonable cooling performance given its size.

DTek heatercore. Works very nice.
