What size tap to use for 3/8" fittings?
I'm about to start construction on my resivior tank, which will be a 4"x4"x4"
junction box. I've got a Craftsman 37 peice tap and die set that I got for christmas just for this purpose, and I'm pretty sure that I have the correct size in the kit.. I just dont quite know which one it is. Can anybody point me to some information on how to do this the right way? Thanks! --HP |
Sorry, but pipe thread is different from normal bolt thread. You need a tap that is 3/8"NPT. I normally cant find them at a home depot or anything, you'll probrably have to order it.
Also, do you mean 3/8" tubing? Or are you doing a 3/8"NPT thread? The sizes you use will be either 3/8"NPT or 1/4"NPT, with 3/8"NPT being larger |
