WATER??

Do all you guys run straight water or water and ethylene glycol(anti-freeze/anti-boil)??
or has this tried and failed ,
I was thinking about using ethylene glycol
as it soaks up heat like s sponge.Has anyone had any experiences with this?
just wondering
:)

Water is the best heat conductor. You only want antifreeze if you plan to chill the water below freezing. We do use water wetter, which doesn't harm the thermal conductivity of water but does provide protection against algae and corrosion.

Ok
Cause i was told that it would be better to use at least some ethylene glycol in the water if not all ethylene glycol as it has Anti-Boil properties

Ie, increase the boiling temperature of the water therefore takes longer to turn into a gas therefore take the heat to your radiator faster and get it out of the system.

Cause the stuff I have is sold as Anti-Boil
but also has happens to have antifreeze properties in freezing temperatures.

I don't know if this makes sense or not it very very early in the mornng atm

Water Wetter helps to improve thermal transfer VERY slightly too...

here is a tip I got from a mechanic. water is good trani fluid is good but they work best together in an 80-20 mix. water wetter mixed with water is the best I hear but you need to order it online. I havn't been able to find it Local yet. Also Even Distilled water can promote algie and bacteria groth in your system unless you boil all parts(hose, waterblock, ect) to kill All traces of the stuff. you MUST RUN SOME TRANI FLUID OF WATER WETTER in your system to stop the groth of this horrible crap.

Don't get your water wetter on-line. CaseETC (among others) are charging $14.99 for a 12oz bottle. I got the same size bottle for $7.99 at my local Pep Boys outlet.

I'm not dissing Cole for this (he's got to make a living, after all), but a lot of items are cheaper if you buy them locally.

Dangerden sells it for 10 bucks
