Danger Den to stock 220 watt pelts!

The word from Dano is next week. :D

Brad 03-12-2002 09:15 PM

I knew 3 weeks ago :P they've been trying to find ones that aren't 55C temp delta, they want the good 69C ones

Mr. Thompson 03-12-2002 09:32 PM

Yeah, I have been talking with Dano about this for a few months. I got an email from him Sunday stating that they would be available next week and thought folks would appreciate knowing there is finally a source for them in the US. Call it a public service announcement. Good news indeed!

Brad 03-12-2002 09:34 PM

hehe ok, I'm after Den for a custom block right now hehe, a diagram has been around in the watercooling forum

Hmmm, I know of people getting rather disapointing results with the 55C deltaT 220 watters. I wonder where thier source of 69C deltaT 220s is comming from. Maybe someday I will venture into the world of TECs again. Right now though TECs = loud so they are not in the game plan. Still this is good news for AMD abusers.

Hey Mr. Thompson its nice to see you over here.

What 55c delta T max pelts are you talking about? I thought Swiftechs 226 had a delta T max of 67c not the 55c they had listed earlier. I'm not shure if this was a typo or if they recieved a newer model. Is anyone shure about the delta T max on this pelt?

Brad 03-22-2002 03:14 PM

yeah, their earlier 226w ones must have been replaced, I'd like to know where all these companies are getting pelts from, to find out the real specs

Maybe all the 226w Peltiers are TEC1-12724T125 with a DeltaT of 60c.

As Les knows, I sorted the deal for the intial batch of the 220W units. They were infact from cidete.
I suspect whats happening is that ppl are been emailed different data.
Les pointed out to me a while back that he though the delta-T on the Tekheads unit of around 60°c - and I had to agree with him.

So maybe all the 220/226W units kicking around are TEC1-12724T125 .

Brad 04-12-2002 08:30 PM

Imax = 24 Amps

Qmax = 226.1 Watts

Vmax = 15.2 Volts

Delta Tmax = >67 (C)

Size = 50mm X 50mm X 3.10mm

thats the DDen one, same as the swifty

Jessfm 04-12-2002 08:33 PM

I was originaly quoted the same figures by the Rep, but according to their Module listing, no such TEc excists.
Unless theyare getting them elsewhere -0 but i do know Tekheads was aproached by US comapnies to buy some of their stock.

EMC2 04-13-2002 01:14 PM

Brad - know anyone at DD well enough to find out who makes the units they're selling?

AL666 04-18-2002 04:01 PM

don't know who makes them, but i heard DD is buying them from Cooltechnica... but i might be wrong...

Jessfm 04-18-2002 04:06 PM

Swifty deffinitly purchased some of Tekeads modules
