Anyone have any experience with Maxi-Jet pumps?
 

I'm thinking of buying a tricked out case complete w/ a watercooling setup off of someone and it's got a Maxi-Jet 1200 pump in it. It's a 295gph pump with 69" of lift to it. What'dya think? :shrug:

dunno, just buy it and run with it, unless it is loud all or screwed up, let the person know you're a little unsure about the pump quality

That price is just for the case and watercooling setup though. No system components are included.

I have the Maxijet 750 which I have been running for 6 months. Really nice and small, quiet and no problems even running at -25C. The only problem is that although they say it is an in-line or submersible they leak like hell as an in-line unless you do some really good sealing around the impeller housing. The big plus is that mine is only 7W so heat production is minimal.

I've got one in my system, been running it for 3 months now. I haven't had any problems with mine as of yet. Only thing is it vibrates against the side of the resevoir and makes a little more noise than I would like. I could probably fix it but I don't want to tear down my system to do it.

Before I purchased my setup from I read some from the fish aquarium guys who said these were nearly indestructable. I figure if they can pump for 5 years in the crud found in aquariums pumping distilled water and antifreeze in a computer would be a walk in the park.

I also have one, and I haven't had problems with them leaking, but I haven't been running one that long, or with a CPU load yet. I did drop one and get metalic particles in it, but the pump still worked, it justs sounds a little gritty. The pumps seem to be a good buy, tho. The 1200 model only puts out 20W of heat, which compared to others, isn't that bad at all. If you don't need the 295GPH, you could downgrade to an MP900 at 8W of heat, good stuff!

<edit> I forgot. They aren't very loud, but they do vibrate, so you'll want some foam or mouse pad to put under it. </edit>

What about EMI?
