air trap question
i was just reading the article about filling a closed loop water cooling system and i have a question about the air trap.

ok, i see that he has a T in the line for the air trap, now should that T be higher than any of the other points in the system or does it not matter? |

yea thats the whole point....thats how it works...the water goes in the trap...the air rises (air tends to do that =D) and goes to the top of the container and water keeps goin down w/o air...go here to c pics of my prototype air trap --> http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/sho...3228#post23228 |
are you talking about the T in the line has to be at the highest point or the actual water level in the air trap? cuz it doesn't look like that T in the line in the article is at the highest point in the system

the point where the T goes out should be higher than the water outlet where the rest of the water goes to

read the article...he doesnt use an air trap...well not really...what he has is a a t-split....which is basicly the same thing as my air trap in my thread but @ in a smaller degree...plus u can fill threw an air trap which a t-split doubles as a filling/bleeding line

so instead of jacking around with the pitchers of water and everything in that article he could just put a funnel in the top of the T line and fill it there?

ive never done it like that but as far as i know u can...someobdy with more experiance with the t-split can help u more |
