my new project: InVisicool 1
I have started a new project i like to call InVisicool. i intend to build a system with almost invisible watercooling, leaving the case un cluttered and open so it's easy to work on. my case will be an antec sx-835(350 watts)A.K.A. chenming atx-601aw A.K.A. chieftec dragon(i will be covering the mystery in the article). The water cooling will be all OCWC, copper polyblock, 4x4 hayden radiator and reese pump. the fan will be a YS Tech 131.5 cfm 120mm. part of the project will be on how to move usb+audio to the front of the case.
SYSTEM: Abit KT7A-RAID OCZ duron 700 128mb OCZ SDRAM IBM 20.5gig ATA100 7200rpm Plextor 12/10/32A expect part1(case mods/water cooling) to be out in 2-3 weeks. any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanx Bose-E.C. |
Have fun on the project!
I'm thinking of making my own block based on a similar design to the OCWC polyblock. I've got a few pieces of copper lying around. Do they just use epoxy to glue the polyblock to a piece of copper? Cheers Memphis |
yeah, just regular water-proof epoxy.
|
Sounds great, though if you're willing to pay for it, the DangerDen Maze2 block is a lot better then the OCWC.
|
Does anyone know what tool OCWC uses to hollow out the chamber in the Copper Polyblock?
|
I don't know, but I have a Craftsman router (basically a HUGE dremel, or a sideways drill) that would probably do the job. I picked mine up for about $150 at Sears.

I'm not sure exactly, but he doesn't use normal power tools. He uses actual machines.
